Sustainability

Efficient. Resource-efficient. Sustainable.

Green exterior facade on the AI module - innovIT AG.

Digital applications are growing rapidly. At the same time, energy demands and requirements for data centers are increasing. Sustainability therefore plays a central role in the planning and operation of modern IT infrastructure.
Our approach combines high-performance data center architecture with efficient use of energy and resources.

The goal is an infrastructure that enables high computing power while also being operated economically and responsibly.
Sustainability begins as early as the planning stage of a data center. Architecture, power supply, and cooling are designed to ensure that energy is used efficiently and that systems can be operated over the long term.

Key factors include:

  • Energy-efficient cooling solutions
  • Optimized power distribution
  • Modular infrastructure for scalable expansion
  • Intelligent Control of Energy and Cooling Systems

Careful planning can lead to long-term reductions in energy consumption and operating costs.

Certifications

Safe. Efficient. Certified.

Secure and sustainable data centers are built on the basis of clearly defined standards. Certifications ensure transparency and guarantee that planning, construction, and operation comply with recognized standards.

innovIT AG consistently develops data center infrastructure in accordance with established technical and organizational standards. Our solutions are TÜV-certified and meet requirements for security, energy efficiency, and operational reliability.

We work with TÜV Hessen to guide you through the certification process for your data center. Our work is based on international standards such as EN 50600 for data center infrastructure and ISO 27001 for information security management systems.

Our focus is on IT security audits in accordance with ISO 27001 and the preparation for external certifications. We analyze existing structures, close technical and organizational gaps, and guide your data center step by step toward certification readiness.

Information Security in accordance with ISO/IEC 27001

Our data centers meet the requirements of a structured information security management system. Clear processes, technical safeguards, and controlled procedures ensure that data, systems, and infrastructure are reliably protected.

EN 50600 – Data Center Standard

Our data centers are designed in accordance with the requirements of the European standard EN 50600. This standard defines guidelines for the planning, construction, and operation of data centers and ensures that infrastructure, availability, and energy efficiency meet clear technical criteria.

ISO 50001 – Energy Management

Our infrastructure is based on the principles of systematic energy management. Energy consumption is continuously analyzed, monitored, and optimized to ensure that data centers are operated efficiently and in an environmentally responsible manner.

ISO 9001 – Quality Management

Our projects adhere to the requirements of a structured quality management system. Clear processes, defined procedures, and continuous improvement ensure that the planning, construction, and operation of our data center infrastructure are carried out reliably and transparently.

Energy Efficiency Act (EnEfG)

Our infrastructure complies with the requirements of the German Energy Efficiency Act. Energy consumption, efficiency metrics, and technical systems are designed to ensure that modern data centers can be operated in a sustainable and legally compliant manner.
