To strengthen our team, we are looking for an Electrical Engineer / Electrical Designer / Data Center Designer (m/f/d) for the holistic design of complex data center projects.

Responsibilities

 

  • Holistic design of complex data center projects, from the initial concept through to implementation.
  • Definition of project objectives and conduct of detailed requirements analysis.
  • Project management and technical planning of electrical systems, particularly medium- and low-voltage switchgear, UPS systems, emergency power systems (EPS), and transformers.
  • Creation of circuit diagrams, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings for electrical systems.
  • Performing technical calculations, such as short-circuit current and selectivity calculations, as well as lighting design.
  • Developing sustainable solutions to optimize power supply and energy efficiency (Power Usage Effectiveness – PUE).
  • Documentation and quality assurance in accordance with project-specific requirements and current standards (e.g., VDE, DIN).
  • Proficiency in specialized software such as CAD (AutoCAD, Revit) and tools (e.g., Simaris, WSCAD, or EPLAN).
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines (e.g., VDE series).
  • Willingness to travel (Frankfurt, Nuremberg, Munich area) and possession of a Class B driver’s license.

Qualification

  • A successfully completed degree in electrical engineering (diploma, bachelor’s, or master’s).
  • Several years of professional experience in the planning and implementation of power supply projects, ideally in the critical infrastructure sector (data centers).
  • Cross-disciplinary technical understanding (particularly of the interfaces with HVAC and building automation).
